Farm Managers

I studied agricultural school in The Netherlands, had my own business for over 25 years in the hospitality industry. I am the proud father of two wonderful kids. At a certain point a needed a new challenge, I wanted to do something totally different, preferably in another country. After discussing this with my brother Fons, he offered me a job as farm manager at Aaldering Vineyards & Wines. So I started July 2010 here in South Africa and I really love it. Amazing country, very nice and friendly people and wonderful colleagues.

Here I can apply all my skills and experience, working with my fellows in the vineyards, organising the day to day agricultural work, taking care of all technical equipment and being involved in the process of wine making. Last but not least I enjoy learning from the Viticulturist and Winemaker how to make top quality wines. It is a great honour that I got the opportunity to be part of the team here and that I can contribute to the quality of our wines. Every day is like a Sunday here on the farm. We have deers, snakes, ducks, birds, eagles and many more species. The sun shines almost every day and it feels like I have been here for many years already.

Born in 1985 in Grabouw, this dynamic and hardworking young man loves a challenge. Ever since he moved to Stellenbosch after school, his passion for the vineyard, and wine only increased.

With a personal motto of, 'Trust in yourself and strive for what you belive in', one can only imagine the possibilities.
